In the lab the scientists have begun to explore units of measurement and the different tools that go along with each unit!
Here the scientist are using graduated cylinders to find out how many milliliters of water each container holds.
Theia is using the ruler to discover how many inches long this fungi sample is along it’s base.
Isaak is using the balance to explore how many rocks it will take to balance with 500mL of water and the digital scale to discover the weight of a birds nest in grams!
You may have noticed that all of the scientists are working on recording their data for each measurement on their data sheets! These skills are preparing them for our future experiments in the lab.
