At Ithaca Montessori School, we believe it is important for parents to understand both the Montessori teaching principles and how children learn in our environment. Each year, we hold four parent education workshops for our parents to further provide a window into the Montessori classroom, experience first-hand what and how your children are learning, and bridge the gap from home-classroom. Workshops are led by classroom teachers and IMS administrators.
Parents are encouraged to take part in Parent Education Nights as a way to connect with current parents, teachers and learn about the Montessori philosophy. We offer FREE child care to currently enrolled families during most sessions. This care is provided by our teachers. Participation counts towards each family’s parent hour requirements.
