We wanted to share some additional photos with you so you can get a feel for your child’s day in the Pine Room! We have had a lovely first month together and are so happy to be spending the days with your children.
The children in the Pine Room have been busy! Please check our previous post for details about our days and answers to frequent questions. We are happy to welcome the final member of our teaching staff, Elizabeth Ferguson, who joins our community at 11am each day and helps children clean up from lunch and settle down for nap in the afternoon before heading to the after school program with many of the pine room children. Make sure to say hello and introduce yourselves when you see her!
We will be posting information and pictures to the blog at the beginning of each month for the prior month. Make sure to check back in early November for an update!
We will leave you with a poem the children are learning:
By Aileen Fisher
One of the nicest beds I know
isn’t a bed of soft white snow,
isn’t a bed of cool green grass
after the noisy mowers grass,
isn’t a bed of yellow hay
making me itch for all a day–
but autumn leaves in a pile that high,
deep, and smelling like fall, and dry.
That’s the bed where I like to lie
and watch the flutters go by
